Just 14 months after becoming an SBS winner before Nudie had even officially launched, I'm incredibly proud to say that public voting is now open and Nudie Jewellery is a finalist in the SBS Business category at the Enterprise Vision Awards.
The EVAS are the UK's largest celebration of women in business, recognising founders who are making a real difference in their industries and communities. To be shortlisted alongside so many inspiring businesses already feels like an achievement in itself.
From SBS Winner to SBS Finalist
Last year, I discovered the SBS community almost by accident.
I'd spotted a competition to pitch at Spring Fair, only to realise you needed to be an SBS winner to enter. So I applied at the next opportunity.
Within weeks of stumbling into this, Theo Paphitis announced Nudie as one of his SBS winners.
That single decision opened doors I never imagined possible.
Fast forward just over a year and that same journey has led us to becoming an SBS finalist at the Enterprise Vision Awards.
Presentation complete.
Interview complete.
Now it's over to the public.
A Community Worth Celebrating
One of my favourite parts of this experience has been meeting the incredible women behind the other finalist businesses.
It's impossible not to come away inspired.
If you're taking part in the public vote, I'd also encourage you to discover some of the brilliant businesses represented across the other categories.
I'm particularly cheering on WUKA in the Best Brand category. They're changing the conversation around periods with practical, sustainable products and have built an incredible British brand. I found them when they listed in Tesco but then had the pleasure of spending 7 days next to Ruby and team WUKA in Westfield London with Ami Rebheru's Retail Huddle's Co.Lective pop ups.
I'm also rooting for Brownie & The Bean in the Best Family Business category. If you've ever needed proof that passion and personality build unforgettable businesses, they're well worth a look. I treated my dad this Father's Day and he thought they were just fabulous.
And of course all the other fabulous #SBSCrew members in my category.
Supporting small businesses doesn't have to stop with one vote.
We'd Love Your Support
If you've followed the Nudie journey, own one of our pieces, met us at a show or simply believe in what we're building, I'd be incredibly grateful for your vote in the SBS Business category.
The good news is you don't need to vote in every category. We recognise it's a bit overwhelming so if you'd simply like to vote for Nudie, it takes less than 30 seconds. But do check out the other amazing businesses.
Every vote really does make a difference.
Whatever the outcome, thank you for supporting this little jewellery brand from Herefordshire. None of this would be possible without our wonderful community.
Love,
Sophie x
